State of Play heads a field of seven 3-year-olds entered for Friday's Grade III Transylvania at 1 1/16 mile on the turf at Keeneland on Friday.

Trained by Graham Motion, State of Play won the John Battaglia Memorial at Turfway Park on March 3 in his most recent start. Last year, State of Play won the Grade II With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga. John Velazquez has the mount on State of Play, who will break from post 1 and carry 123 pounds.

Another colt that figures to attract interest is Icon Ike. Trained by Larry Jones, Icon Ike is undefeated in three starts on the grass. In his most recent outing, he won the Black Gold at Fair Grounds in which he narrowly defeated Hero of Order, who came back to win the Grade II Louisiana Derby.

Miguel Mena has the mount on Icon Ike, who will break from post 7 and carry 118 pounds.

The field for the Transylvania, from the inside out, is as follows: State of Play (Velazquez, 123 pounds), Wayward Sailor (Alan Garcia, 118), Travel Advisory (Manny Cruz, 118), Saturday Launch (Jesus Castanon, 118), Monastic (Julien Leparoux, 118), Silver Max (Robby Albarado, 118) and Icon Ike (Mena, 118).

The Transylvania serves as the featured ninth race on the opening day of the 15-day Spring Meet that runs through April 27. Friday’s 10-race card begins at 1:05 p.m. ET.  The Transylvania has a 5:13 p.m. post time.
