Changing Mail Settings in Mac Mail

Here you will find detailed instructions for changing your server settings in Mac Mail.  If you have already coordinated with Sitemason Technical Support and your domain has been moved to the new email service, please follow the steps below to configure Mac Mail for the new mail server settings.

 
1. Open Mac Mail and go to Mail > Preferences...





2. In the Account Information section of your POP Account, change the Incoming Mail Server to pop.sitemasonmail.com.  Your account user name and password will remain the same unless you've elected to change your password in the move.  After you've changed the Incoming Mail Server, click the "Server Settings..." button at the bottom of the screen.





3. In the resulting pop up window, change your Outgoing Mail Server to smtp.sitemasonmail.com.  For authentication, use the drop down menu to select "Password" and enter your user name, which is your FULL email address and your password.  Click "OK."





4.  Upon closing the Preferences window, you will be prompted to Save Changes.  Click "Save" and you are done.
