We are making plans for the 46th annual Swan Ball. Please join us on Saturday, June 14, 2008 for A Night of Romance. We know you will enjoy an evening in the beautiful gardens of Cheekwood. The tent will be filled with fragrant, soft flowers and green boxwood, all under the moon and stars. Reed McIlvaine, President of Renny and Reed for Entertainment in New York, promises to create a romantic evening on the Swan Lawn.
You will be tempted, amazed and delighted by one of the many fabulous pieces of jewelry from the 2008 jeweler, Verdura. Owner Ward Landrigan and son Nico are excited to return to the Ball after ten years.
We know our guests will enjoy our entertainment line-up this year! The always exciting and energetic Pat Patrick and his orchestra will begin the evening. After dinner, Diana Ross has planned a fabulous show. Then, the ever popular 14 Karat Gold will take the stage to finish a memorable evening.
On Friday, June 6, 2008 Loews Vanderbilt Hotel will host the Swan Ball Auction. There are trips and treasures that will appeal to everyone. Be sure to look further into this site to read about all the wonderful items and adventures that will be available that night!
Please try to visit Cheekwood this spring. The grounds are in full bloom and a wonderful outdoor exhibit “Happily Ever After” featuring eight whimsical storybook settings will be on display. The money raised from the Swan Ball will help fund the many important programs and happenings that are the life of Cheekwood.
