Goodwill recently earned a Best of Nashville seal of approval.
Greater Nashville House & Home readers selected their favorite businesses in a variety of categories. Goodwill was voted as the best place to donate furniture.
When donating furniture at your nearest donation location, remember to drop it off during normal operating hours so a trained donation attendant can help you unload the items and offer you a donation receipt for your tax records. All donations to Goodwill are 100 percent tax deductible.

Your donations are tax deductible since you do not receive any goods or services in return for your contributions. At each donation site, attendants will offer you a signed receipt. It is us up to the you to fill out the receipt , value your donations, and keep it in your tax records.
Goodwill does not keep permanent records of donations.
According to the IRS guidelines, employees of Goodwill are not able to place a value on any donation, but we do have a suggested value list.

Donating to Goodwill is an easy way to give back to the community while still clearing out your stuffed closets and shelves. It is also helps the environment by recycling gently used items so that others may enjoy them.
Donating to Goodwill is quick and easy at any of our conveniently placed donation centers across middle and west Tennessee. We are always adding to new sites, so check back often.

Donation Drives
We have a variety of programs for businesses, neighborhoods and organizations to support Goodwill with donation drives. Goodwill will supply the donation bins and schedule regular pickups over a set period of time. Or we can supply a donations truck and an attendant to accept donations.
