Sitemason FeaturesThe Sitemason platform is composed of multiple components (we call them “tools”) that all add up to a very powerful Content Management System or, “CMS” for anyone keeping track of Internet related acronyms. The Page Builder is our bread and butter WYSIWYG page editing tool, and the News Publisher and Custom Form are extremely powerful tools that we are constantly updated and improving. Every Sitemason account also includes a Photo Gallery, Feedback Form, Poll, and Site Recommend Form.
The Sitemason Page Builder is the WYSIWYG text editing tool that does most of the heavy lifting on a Sitemason site. Aside from text formatting, the Page Builder can also be used to control the placement and resizing of images. The editor behaves very much like a typical word processing program, so you can add and edit tables, lists, and hyperlinks, and control text size, colors and fonts just like you would in the non-web world. A spell checker is included as well, and the "Paste from Word" feature allows for the easy repurposing of content in Microsoft Word format to the Web. Learn more about the Page Builder.
Imagine, if you will, a customer or potential customer walks into your business and has a strong interest in placing a large order……”She walks in through the front door and spends about 15 minutes checking out everything around. She’s very sure that you have everything she needs. She’s ready to let you know that its time to do business. You’re standing right in front of her but your eyes are closed. You can’t see her. Your hands are covering your ears. You can’t hear her. She reaches out to grab you and its as if there is an invisible shield that blocks her from your presence. You don’t even know she’s there. Frustrated, she walks out, looking for the competitor down the street. She’s gone….and she’s never coming back…..and you never knew”Using the web as a tool to retrieve information from a site visitor has often been an underutilized function due to the complexity involved in programming an electronic form. The Sitemason Custom Form completely eliminates these complex programming tasks and gives you the tools to easily and efficiently construct surveys, applications, registrations, questionnaires, tests- anything that you want to have a visitor submit by simply entering information in fields or selecting from a range of possible answers or responses. The Custom Form contains a variety of options to give you the best possible format for your particular use. Some questions may need only one answer; others may require as many answers that apply; still others may require a lengthy essay. Whatever the need, the custom form can be crafted to accommodate a variety of information gathering tasks. Never again will someone visit your site and be left without the opportunity to tell you what you need to know. Learn more about the Custom Form.

“Who’s going to win the election?” Who’s going to win the game?” “Who’s the best player?” “What should we serve as the main course?” “When is the best date for the event?” “Where should the reception be held?” Sometimes, you need quick, unscientific feedback on one question and you don’t particularly care about the identity of the respondents. You supply the question and the possible answers and the Sitemason Poll does the rest. Viewers choose an answer and the selection is automatically tabulated and graphically displayed with the cumulative responses. Clever and simple, the Sitemason Poll is a perfect example of what savvy site visitors expect to see when they visit a site that is maintained in a timely manner and provides interactive opportunities for the enlightenment of the site owner and visitor. That’s what Sitemason is all about. Learn more about the Poll.
Sure, you could use the Sitemason Custom Form to let visitors recommend your site or to submit general feedback to you. We thought we would simplify the task for what we consider to be the essential “responsive” components for any site. The fact is that you should encourage visitors to share your web address with others and you should solicit feedback as well. Such functionality gives them the chance to interact with your site and to enable them to share their opinions with you or their trusting friends and colleagues. Both the Sitemason Recommend and Feedback forms are easily configured and managed to serve your website, each with a distinctive and valuable purpose.
