Each home is furnished with one wheeled refuse container that you place at the street on your collection day. Residents with larger families may obtain an additional container for an additional one-time service fee of $75.00. All containers remain the property of the City of Goodlettsville. If the can breaks as a result of normal usage, the City will replace or repair it free of charge.
Residential garbage must be drained of all liquids and secured in plastic bags prior to being placed in containers. Bags outside the container will not be picked up. Items prohibited from collection shall include but not be limited to hazardous waste, infectious waste, and construction waste.
Containers should be placed adjacent to and in back of the curb, or adjacent to and in back of the pavement edge if there is no curb and should weigh no more than 250 pounds.
