Infants - 3 year-old: Childcare is provided for infants through three year-olds during most Sunday evening activities.
3 ½ to sixth grade: For children ranging in age from 3 ½ to sixth grade, the Children’s Atrium is offered from 5:30-6:30 p.m. each Sunday evening from September through May. The Children’s Atrium is a religious formation program based on the Montessori teaching method and adapted from “The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd,” which is used worldwide in many Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, and Methodist churches.
The primary purpose of the Children’s Atrium is to provide an environment that will help children develop a loving relationship with Jesus Christ, “The Good Shepherd.” Accordingly, the work that the children do in the Atrium is meditative in nature and focuses on the parables of the Good Shepherd and stories from the life of Jesus, as well as liturgy, biblical geography, and the kingdom parables.
