Biography
Kevin Garrett is a treasure hunter. He finds beauty in things that others overlook and breaks rules to bring a fresh edgy viewpoint to both his arresting black and white and his vibrant high color images. The sophisticated energy that suffuses his work has brought him industry awards from Applied Arts, How Magazine, Print and ShowSouth. Clients like The Coca-Cola Company, Danka, Mohawk Industries, and The Federal Reserve Bank have all tapped into his vision. Using available light primarily, Kevin treads lightly during his process and produces a volume of images rapidly. He will go to great lengths to get the shot, whether that means diving in the Bahamas with the shark wranglers from the James Bond's films for Coastal Living or dangling from a helicopter above the coastline while shooting for the Jamaica Tourist Board. For his editorial work, Kevin frequently travels to the Caribbean, and he's compiling a book of his fine-art images from visits to more than 40 islands.
