Goodwill Opens Goodlettsville Donation Center

Goodlettsville, TN (August 1, 2007) – Goodwill is proud to announce the grand opening its 58^th donation center on site at the Goodlettsville Public Works’ Recycling Center located on Connell Street on Friday, August 17, 2007.

Located at the corner of Cartwright and Connell Streets, the recycling facility and Goodwill provide Goodlettsville residents a convenient way to recycle their waste and an added opportunity to donate gently-used clothing and household items; all of which helps the environment and furthers Goodwill’s mission of providing jobs and job training to people with disabilities or other disadvantages.

For Goodwill, the added location creates new employment opportunities for some of its many clients within the Goodlettsville area. For the City, the new donation opportunity will help keep great items from entering our landfills and be used to help foster Goodwill’s mission.

Goodwill employees will be available on-site to help residents with their donations and to provide a tax-deductible receipt. The donation facility will be open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will be closed on Sundays and all major holidays. The recycling center is also open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and is only closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
