Part I Photos taken of entire cabinet. Boardset removed and inspected. Smoked Plexi removed and old amusment liscense removed. Boardset video problems investigated. Daughter Board disconnected. Z80 taken from Daughter and placed in location 6B on main PCB. Upon power up same problems exist. Game turned off and reboot. PACMAN comes up cleanly. Only problem seen is that Ms Pac lookes horrible and frequently changes shape completely.

Part II Decided to reconnect aux. pcb and take photos of video errors to help in diagnosing the problem. Once board was returned to original state, power was appied and up came Ms. PacMan with no errors. My suspicion is a bad connector cable. But about 24 hrs. after acquiring a broken, i was playing the game perfectly. A good start to the repair process. Noticed while playing that the marquee light is out. That will need to be fixed.

Items added to order with ArcadeShop: 1 Ms. PacMan Upright CPO - $35.00 1 Midway Security Bit - 4.00 Game plugged in and screen was covered with F's and red 1's I have read that his problem is cuased by pin 3 on the chip in location U3 on the Aux Card. The strange thing is that after about an hour of looking around the game loaded just fine. I am beginning to think that the problem might be with the power suppy. I will be installing a power supply this weekend and also installing Clays MultiKit. So regard of which place the problem lies, it will be going away.

Aux PCB Ribbon cable and Slow Chip 6F were installing. Machine booted up perfectly. Still not sure if power up problems are fixed only time will tell.

Monitor removed. All metal and plastic insides cleaned and derusted. Wells Gardner K7000 series installed. Now right side of screen is "bent" and yellow is absent from the bottom righthand corner of the screen. Could just be a degaussing issue. Still seeing some power glitches hopefully the switcher will fix those. If not I think the cord might be broken. Antoher thing on the list of repairs.

Received manual and schematics from John Sugg. Called ArcadeShop to track down my shipment only to find that it was sitting in their shop. I guess I will have to wait longer for those parts. They claim a chip was needed for the MultiPac.

Monitor color and size settings were perfected. Monitor replacement is now complete the the difference is immediately evident. Smoked plexi was reinstalled after a thorough cleaning. Old CPO was taken off. The use of a hairdryer made this process very easy. Control panel is very stick and will need to be cleaned and painted before new CPO is applied.

Recieved order from ArcadeShop. Better late than never! I am somewhat disappointed with the overlay. The graphics are noticable different than my orginal. Oh well, i guess a reproduction cant be perfect.
