We're all about helping women around here…that's why we've established this Scholarship Fund. It'll provide for special women's programs and YMCA memberships for families in need.
Recently we did an unusual fundraiser…it was an extreme Lock-In! Youth groups, scout troops, and kid's clubs all over America will go to their local Y and spend a night…this was a take-off on that same idea. An extreme Lock-In that lasted 30 DAYS!!
Yup, I really lived in the Maryland Farms YMCA in Brentwood, Tennessee for that long, never leaving! It was like Survivor, except nobody voted me off the 'island'. During the month we were live everyday and featured 30 'Wonder Women' ...girls of all ages who are on incredible journeys. These are fun, fascinating and sometimes fertile friends! Now you can hear what they said! The talk ranged from cheating husbands to surviving the unimaginable!

Incredible Stories!! Thanks to each one for being so open, honest and vulnerable. I'm learning so much from you all.
Now here's a little more about the On The HomeStretch Scholarship Fund:
Our goal this first year is $25,000 and we're raising it through people like you pledging per night I was there….so a dollar a night would be a $30 donation to the YMCA…$5 per night would come to a $150 gift. Some generous folks are able to give $10 or $20 a night…whatever is given; the amount is much appreciated and will make a difference! Oh by the way, your gift is tax deductible and goes 100% to the YMCA.
Click here to find out more! (Link will open as a PDF)
If you’re interested in giving, you may either:
1. Contact us about filling out a pledge card! (pledges can be paid any time before the end of 2008)
2. Or make checks payable to: The YMCA for: “OTHS Scholarship Fund” and Mail To: PO Box 2441, Brentwood, TN 37024
Thanks for your generosity
and
Enjoy listening to these 30 'Wonder~Ful Women'!
