S. Winiecki, Poznan. Extremely fine double rifle in the ever popular caliber, 9.3 x 74, with a 12ga. shotgun barrel beneath, ca. 1930. Weight 8 lbs. 14 oz. Stock dimensions: 14 ¼”x 1 ½”x 2 ½”x ¼” cast-off. Superb 25” barrels all with absolutely mint bores retain virtually all the original black finish. The shotgun barrel has original 2 ¾” chamber with .719” bore choked .040”. Extremely strong and desirable clamshell action with double underlugs and Greener cross-bolt third fastener. Action beautifully engraved and retains most of the original hardening colors. Fully adjustable set triggers for both barrels. Cocking indicators and extractors. Nicely figured pistol grip stock with very good checkering. A very unusual rifle in that the design and proofs are German but the maker was clearly Polish and included his home city of Poznan along with his name engraved on the top rib of the barrel. Overall a magnificent combination rifle of peerless quality throughout and an absolutely ideal firearm for follow-up of dangerous game.
