John Dickson and Son, Edinburgh. Nice 12ga. "Round Action" light weight game gun made in 1923. Weight 6 lbs. Stock Dimensions:  14 3/8"x 1 3/8"x 2 1/2"x 1/4" cast-off.  Original 28" chopper lump steel barrels with 2 1/2" chambers were nitro-reproofed in 2003 at bore diameters of .736"/.740".  Brilliant bores currently measure .739"/.740", choked .006"/.014", with minimum wall thickness of .022"/.020".  There is an almost imperceptable blemish on the underside of the left barrel about 6" aft of the muzzle where a small dent was very expertly lifted at some point in the past. The classic self-opening action is nicely engraved in typical Dickson style and retains traces of the original hardening colors. Ejectors and double triggers. Beautifully figured straight-grip walnut stock and splinter forend have been refinished and barrels have been reblacked. Overall tight, mechanically perfect, and in what would appear to be the original maker's case with some accessories.
