John Blissett, London. Magnificent 10-bore percussion sporting gun, ca. 1855.  Weight: 7 3/4 lbs. Stock dimensions: 14 3/8"x 1 5/8"x 2 3/4"x 1/4" cast-off.  Superb 30" barrels with all original finish and mint bores! Cyanide-hardened locks and iron mounts retaining virtually all the original finish. Exhibition grade walnut stock remains in mint condition with pristine checkering and all original finish. This gun has been fired but remains in virtually mint condition throughout. The vacant silver escutcheon in right side of butt is indicative of this magnificent gun having been intended to be given as a prize at some sort of shooing event or other notable occasion. Absolutely peerless quality and condition throughout.
