Thomas Staton, London. Breechloading, boxlock, flintlock turn-off pocket pistol, ca. 1775. Overall length: 7 ¼”.  Turn-off, .44 cal., cannon barrel has a dent near the breech. Nicely engraved action with an unusual hidden frizzen spring which is inlet, out of sight,  into the top of the action just behind the frizzen. Walnut stock in good condition is profusely inlaid with silver wire.
