G. Bigot, Havre.  Fine cased pair of percussion target pistols, ca. 1850.  Overall length 16” and 10” Damascus barrels of about .45 cal. have excellent bores. Original nipples with copper gaskets show little evidence of use and no wear. Extremely fine precision locks are mechanically perfect and steel mounts are engraved en suite. Highly figured, relief carved, walnut stocks have numerous bruises and dings from careless handling during the last century and a half, however, they still retain much of their original finish. Beautifully figured walnut case complete with original lining and all matching original accessories. One case compartment lid has been replaced and both compartment lids have been recovered with baize. Overall a very nice pair of target pistols at a reasonable price.
