Exquisite light-weight 20-bore sidelock O/U game gun ordered by Abercrombie & Fitch for their New York store inventory, ca. 1937.  Weight: 5 ¾ Lbs.  Stock Dimensions: 14 3/8”x 1 ¼”x 2 ¼”x straight.  Superb 26” demi-bloc steel barrels with full-length, solid, file-cut, top rib and 2 ¾”, 1 oz., proofs retain virtually all their original finish. Bores are absolutely brilliant measuring .613”/.613”, choked .004”/.007”, with minimum wall thickness of .032”/.030”. The ultra-rare action incorporates a rising-bite third fastener, single selective trigger, bushed firing pins, and ejectors. Nicely figured straight-grip stock and splinter forend retain an original oil finish and checkering remains crisp. Original case contains a complete compliment of original unused A&F accessories including case keys and spare firing pins. Complete with impeccable provenance and a copy of the original Boss Ledger entry. Overall this magnificent little gun is mechanically perfect, shows no evidence of having been used, and remains in virtually mint condition throughout with all specifications conforming to the original Boss Ledger. Perhaps the finest British 20-bore O/U extant  and an incredible investment opportunity.
