Holland and Holland, London. Magnificent Best sidelock “Royal Ejector” double rifle in .375 H&H flanged magnum, completed in 1995. Weight: 9 lbs. 2oz. Stock with 14 ½” LOP. Superb 24” chopper lump steel barrels with mint bores have a quarter rib and ramp front sight. Single 100 yd. fixed rear sight with a single folding leaf for 200 yds. Ramp front sight with flip-up twilight bead. The barrels also have factory original mounts installed for the Schmidt and Bender 1.5-6x42 scope which is engraved and numbered to the gun. Heavy reinforced action body with typical long tang extending back over the comb of the stock. Third fastener, ejectors, bushed firing pins, automatic safety, and double triggers with articulated front trigger. Absolutely stunning full coverage deep relief engraving and gold inlays have been flawlessly executed by the incomparable Philippe Grifnee. Exhibition grade walnut butt stock with leather-covered Silver’s recoil pad and matching splinter forend. Add to this the polished oak and black ostrich leather case complete with all buffalo-horn handled accoutrements including the matching canvas and leather outer cover and you have one of the most breathtakingly beautiful firearms ever crafted by any maker of any century.
