Second Annual Parent and Community Conference

MNPS Department of Special Education in conjunction with its parent advisory council, FACE, is sponsoring its second annual parent and community conference.

Date: Saturday October 22nd
Location: West End Middle School
Time: 9.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.

Registration for the event will be at 9.00 a.m.

Some areas being covered:

• The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act
• Overview of resources for adult employment
• Creating a Learning Environment between the school and the home
• Understanding Best Instructional Practices

Speakers will be from the community, MNPS, and parents of children with special needs.

Come for part of the day or come for the whole event. All are welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
