If you feel the need to roll your own, please read through the following pages. They might be slightly outdated, but they have everything you need.

(Optional) Set your CVSROOT environment variable per http://mozilla.org/cvs.html

vi mozilla/.mozconfig

cd mozilla && gmake -f client.mk build

How do I build Epiphany?
Make sure you have a prerequisite version of Mozilla and use --prefix=/usr
