Tony’s work with non-profit organizations spans nearly 35 years. Not only has Tony volunteered for nearly a dozen various non-profit charitable organizations, but he as also served on the board of directors for non-profit organizations such as The New Orleans Ballet Association, which is recognized as one of the top organizations of its kind in the country. He was also on the board of Habitat for Humanity in West St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana which, since 1981, has built nearly 150 homes for families that might not otherwise be able to own a home through traditional mean. Tony appeared on the scene with Center for the Arts last year as Tevye in the Center’s production of Fiddler on the Roof, and most recently appeared as Ebenezer Scrooge in of A Christmas Carol this past Christmas. Office Manager - Gary Parker Gary has been seen numerous times across the Middle Tennessee area on stage and off and is considered great assets to any arts organization he graces. As a child, Gary frequented the building when it housed the Linebaugh Library and never dreamed of working in the lovely Italianate building. Art Education Coordinator - Jennifer Richardson Jennifer Richardson earned her B.A. at The University of Memphis and her M.A. at George Washington University. During her time in Washington, DC she interned with The Smithsonian Associates in the Regional Outreach Department and worked as a Fine Art Specialist with Sloans and Kenyon. She is currently teaching Art History at the Art Institute of Tennessee-Nashville and is thrilled to bring her ideas and creative energy to the Center for the Arts in Rutherford County. Her goal is to make the arts a part of the everyday life of her community by teaching and coordinating classes and events that will interest a wide audience. Communications Coordinator - Jesse Cannady Jesse Cannady is a current theatre student at Middle Tennessee State University. His duties at the Center for the Arts include public relations, graphic design, publications design, and many more odd jobs that may be lurking around every one-hundred year old corner. Jesse also braves the Center’s most dangerous of ventures, youth theatre. Over the past two years he has directed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, You’re a Good Man- Charlie Brown, Seussical!, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He looks forward to an exciting future with the Center for the Arts and its growing impact on youth in our community. |
