The Regional Transportation Authority
The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is a government-funded agency supported by member communities. Created in 1988, the RTA provides ridesharing opportunities in order to promote the economic growth of our membership and improve the air quality of our community. Led by a board of city and county mayors and community leaders, the RTA serves nine counties which are listed with the member cities/towns below.

The Regional Transportation Authority office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The RTA office and services are closed on New Year’s Day, MLK Holiday, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve day and Christmas Day.
