Nashville Young Professionals Celebrate Achievements of Organization and Members.

NASHVILLE, Tenn – On June 18, 2011, members of the Nashville Junior Chamber (NJC) gathered at Hard Rock Nashville for their annual Gala event; a year-end awards ceremony and celebration of achievements within the organization’s membership.

The NJC Board of Governors took this opportunity to recognize all volunteers serving as event chairs and new member ambassadors, as well as commend outgoing President, Sarah Rochford, for her hard work and dedication to the NJC during her term.

“Each year we're thrilled to highlight the amazing work of our members,” said Rochford. “The Board and I could not be more proud of everyone but especially those honored tonight who’ve gone above and beyond to further the mission of the Nashville Junior Chamber.”

Twelve awards were announced in six categories. The winner(s) of each category appear below.

New Member of the Year

Spotlight Awards, recognizing members who’ve gone above and beyond, making an impact on the NJC and demonstrating exemplary leadership.

·         Kristen Gunderson, First Horizon Wealth Advisory Group

·         Emily Lauritson, Gaylord Opryland Resort

·         Alicia Frandsen, Nashville Sports Council


Sherri Glover Award
, in memory of philanthropist, Sherri Glover who was killed by a drunk driver after leaving an NJC meeting. This award focuses on community service outside the organization.
