Rare tiny pair of Belgian, all-steel, breech loading flintlock turn-off pistols, ca. 1790. Overall length 5 ½”  The .43 cal. cannon barrels which unscrew from the action for loading measure about 1 ½” in length. Nicely engraved all-steel stocks and actions have unusual hidden frizzen springs which are inlet into the breech just behind the frizzen. High quality safety is activated by sliding the trigger guard forward which locks the cock at half-cock and, additionally, causes a pin to slide forward locking down the frizzen. A very expensive mechanism to build. Overall a very attractive  and high quality little pair of pistols in perfect working order.
