Ms. Farkas joined the company in May 2004 as senior vice president of human resources. She brings a strategic and operational focus to ABHOW’s HR function with 15 years of leadership experience in human resources and 8 years of service sales and general management.

Before joining ABHOW, she served as senior vice president of human resources and administration at SONICblue, where she helped the corporation’s industry transformation from graphic chips to consumer electronics. She managed all aspects of human resources change for two divestitures and three acquisitions within the span of one year, supporting the growth of the consumer electronics business from $0 to $200 million revenue within two years.

Before SONICblue, she served as director of human resources at C-Cube Microsystems and VLSI Technology. At C-Cube Microsystems she led and reformed the human resources function, set up a progressive employee training and development program, and reduced employee turnover by 27 percent. At VLSI Technology, Ms. Farkas managed corporate staffing and HR services, achieving a 100 percent increase in recruiter productivity and introducing an employee retention program. She also held several management and internal consulting positions, starting in service operations, services sales and line management, and then moving into the human resources disciplines during her 14-year employ with Digital Equipment Corporation.

Ms. Farkas holds a bachelor's degree from Oral Roberts University as well as certificates in human resources management (UC Santa Cruz), training and development (UC Santa Cruz), total quality management (Digital Equipment), and Certified Compensation Professional (WorldatWork) 2003-2006.
