Acceptable Items for Recycling
· Newspaper – ONP (old news print), magazines and telephone books.
· Cardboard – Corrugated boxes, cereal boxes, any box that tears gray or brown, and brown paper grocery bags. All boxes should be flattened before being deposited for collection. **Not acceptable: Boxes that tear white, soiled pizza boxes and boxes with refrigerated coating.**
· Plastic – Bottles with “necks” (check bottom of bottles for #1 or #2). Includes milk jugs, soda bottles, windshield washer fluid bottles, bleach bottles and detergent containers. Bottle caps should be removed. ** No motor oil bottles accepted.**
· Aluminum – Beverage cans, clean foil and pie pans.
· Steel / Tin Cans – Food and beverage cans, pet food cans, steel lids and empty aerosol cans. Labels can be left on.
· Glass – Bottles and jars. Separated by color (clear, brown and green). Please remove the lids and rinse containers.
· Office Paper – Colored or white paper, manila folders, envelopes, computer paper, fax paper, post it notes and shredded paper. **No envelopes with transparent windows.**
