The Services of Regional Transportation Authority
The RTA operates two regional bus routes traveling between downtown Nashville and Murfreesboro and Hendersonville. The RTA works closely with the Metropolitan Transit Authority (www.nashvillemta.org) linking riders with more than 40 routes provided throughout Davidson County. In addition, the RTA’s rideshare program organizes vanpools and carpools for commuters throughout Middle Tennessee.

Our representatives work with areas businesses to provide access, through the use of our transit system, to an expanded available workforce. Workers can depend on reliable transportation to get them to and from their job because “Our job is getting you to yours.”

As an FTA recipient agency, the RTA must set and meet annual overall Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goals. In accordance with the FTA regulation, the RTA has chosen to calculate its DBE Goal by adopting the Goal developed by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) as TDOT is a DOT recipient agency and both agencies procure from the same general area. Based on the appropriate methodology, RTA has set its Federal Fiscal Year 2008 DBE Goal at 5%.
