Pentecost is the liturgical end of the Easter season. On Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit as found in Acts 2:1-21. We will also read 1 Corinthians 12: 3-13, the Gifts of the Spirit, and John 20:19-23, Jesus giving the disciples the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Are you recognizing the pattern here?).

Several years ago, Julie Coulter encouraged the children to wear red on Pentecost. Since then, many of the adults have taken it up as well. Red is the liturgical color for Pentecost. So on Pentecost Sunday, May 11th, don your red tie, your red dress, your red shirt, your red socks or your red bow in your hair and celebrate Pentecost!
