Re: The ManCode ‘12’ //

Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you. Tie them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and high regard in the sight of God and man.
Proverbs 3:3-4 HCSB
In The ManCode, ‘12’ is a negotiable number. Perhaps your “large group” will be numbered in single digits, or maybe you’ll have more than a dozen. The exact number isn’t crucial, but the group itself IS crucial. Even Jesus felt it was important to have a group of men to eat with, to fellowship with, and to travel with—and since it was good enough for Him, it’s good enough for you, too.
Are you spending time with men who make you a better Christian, or are you spending time with people who encourage you to stray from your faith? The answer to this question will have a surprising impact on the condition of your spiritual health.
Many elements of society seek to mold you into a more worldly being; God, on the other hand, seeks to mold you into a new being, a new creation through Christ, a being that is most certainly not conformed to this world. If you are to please God, you must resist the pressures that society seeks to impose upon you, and you must choose, instead, to follow in the footsteps of His only begotten Son.
“People who inspire others are those who see invisible bridges at the end of dead-end streets.”
Charles Swindoll
“We urgently need people who encourage and inspire us to move toward God and away from the world’s enticing pleasures.”
