Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
Acts 20:28 NKJV

In The ManCode, the number 120 stands for the local church. In the second chapter of Acts, we are told that shortly after Christ ascended into heaven, 120 of His disciples were touched by the Holy Spirit. This small but powerful group of men became the foundation of the early church, so we’ve chosen the number 120 to represent Christ’s church.

When we come into a relationship with Jesus, we, like believers of every generation, become like Peter, of whom Christ said, “Upon this rock I will build my church” (Matthew 16:18 KJV). So please don’t think of the church as merely a freestanding collection of bricks and mortar because it’s more than that.

“What the church needs is not better machinery nor new organizations, but instead it needs men whom the Holy Spirit can use—men of prayer, men mighty in prayer.”
E. M. Bounds

“Don’t ever come to church without coming as though it were the first time, as though it could be the best time, and as though it might be the last time.”
Vance Havner
