Americans United - "Church/State Separation: What's at Stake?"  10-13-2004 

"Church/State Separation: What's at Stake?"  We will be looking at a wide range of areas where the religious/political right is pushing their agenda including the Faith-based Initiatives, school prayers, 10 Commandments, and the Jones House of Worship Free _Expression Bill.  We will be discussing ways to respond to these initiatives in a constructive and effective way.  The panel will include Alvin Harris, lead attorney in the Doe v. Porter case; Rev. Thomas McCracken, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Murfreesboro; Joe Sweat, board member, ACLU Tennessee; Rev. Thomas Stroebl.

Greater Nashville Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 374 Hicks Road, Bellevue.
Members of Americans United will be participants and there will be discussion.
7:30 to 9 pm sharp.
