Music World Loses Jazz Legend Claude "Fiddler" Williams

Jazz legend Claude Fiddler Williams, who, for more than eight decades, contributed to and influenced the rich and broad landscape of jazz in America and beyond, died of pneumonia April 25, 2004, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. He was 96 years young.

Swing Go the Strings of His Art

It seems that fiddler extraordinaire Mark O'Connor can't get enough of swing music these days. Two years ago, he released "Hot Swing!" a live trio recording inspired by the 1930s pairing of violinist Stephane Grappelli and guitarist Django Reinhardt. Now comes the sequel: "In Full Swing," a studio session celebrating the same vintage acoustic jazz sounds.
