<description>2011 was quite a year over here at Sitemason. It saw a number of changes for our little shop on West End. We launched our excellent commerce system, saw mobile apps explode, welcomed dozens of new customers, and watched revenues climb to new heights.
That's a lot of good news, we agree, but something got lost in all the hullabaloo...

<description>Today we expanded our video support for web video outside of YouTube to include Vimeo &#x26; UStream. You've of course always been able to embed videos in Sitemason tools, but now you can use the native video support in Sitemason to display internet video for the big three services; YouTube, Vimeo &#x26; UStream for live streaming video.

<description>Today we're announcing a small improvement, but one that our power users have been clamoring for. Until now, it hasn't been possible to assign tags in bulk to already-existing items. We've rolled out a simple Assign Tags option in your Articles menu that now makes this a breeze.

<description>The Custom Form is Sitemason's oldest tool, but it's also one of it's most powerful. It hasn't gotten a whole lot of attention in the past year, but today we're adding the option to include a Captcha to verify human entry of a form. Sitemason's form spam filtering continues to be top-notch, but for those who would like a little more control (or security especially on credit card processing forms), a Captcha is an ideal tool. For those who aren't familiar with Captcha, this Wikipedia article explains the ropes [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAPTCHA]. We are opting to use the nearly ubiquitous captcha.net [http://www.captcha.net/].

<description>For those interested in developing websites on the Sitemason CMS platform, your starting off point just got a whole lot cooler.
Inspired by the work being done at html5boilerplate.com [http://html5boilerplate.com/], Sitemason beefed up their own boilerplate adding lots ofHTML5 goodness and bunches of new Sitemason PHP Library methods.
Go checkout the boilerplate! [http://developer.sitemason.com/boilerplate/]
For more info, read up on the improvements that were made to the PHP Library [http://groups.google.com/group/sitemason-developers/browse_thread/thread/29093d8563aef9cb] in the Sitemason Developers Group [http://groups.google.com/group/sitemason-developers].

You can log into Sitemason webmail at Sitemasonmail.com [http://sitemasonmail.com].
You'll see the changes sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Central Time next Monday August 30, or Tuesday August 31. Below are the changes you'll see. The upgrade will happen automatically and won't require any action. Feel free to contact our Customer Care team if you have any questions. We are available at (615) 301-2600 ext. 3 or at support@sitemason.com [mailto:%20support@sitemason.com].

<description>Along with Vanderbilt's website redesign, the Sitemason-powered calendar [http://e2ma.net/go/.208201934/208201934/212746153//goto:http://calendar.vanderbilt.edu/] got a fresh look.
The calendar is driven by Sitemason tools. Various Vanderbilt users are able to submit events and then administrators can approve and edit events.
Visitors to the site have robust filtering, searching, and exporting options. Here are some of the calendar tool's robust features [http://e2ma.net/go/.208201934/208201934/212746154//goto:http://www.sitemason.com/features_pricing/tools/calendar].
To add a calendar tool to your website, log into Sitemason, click &#x22;add a tool&#x22; and add a calendar tool.

<description>On May 1 and 2, Nashville was hit by major flooding. Sitemason's office was unaffected and no website services were affected. We host services on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) so we have server redundancy across the U.S.
Flooding reached some staff members' garages, but no one was hurt. Some of our friends and clients closer to the Cumberland River and in some Davidson and Williamson county neighborhoods were more greatly affected.
We have been in awe of our community during these last few weeks as we've seen our town come together to support neighbors who've lost loved ones and homes.
If you'd like to help with relief efforts, please visit The Tennessean's Flood Resource Guide [http://e2ma.net/go/.208201934/208201934/212746155//goto:http://data.tennessean.com/floodresource/].
