Sitemason, the product, is a suite of web-based tools that let you manage your online presence without technical knowledge or programming. It's a shared web hosting service, which means that the tools and hosting live on our servers, so there is no software to install or hardware to maintain. Our templating environment is PHP based, and combined with Sitemason JSON or XML to create web applications.
Our infrastructure is built on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform which offers our customers all of the reliability and up-time associated with a Fortune 500 company. Our software is a proprietary system built on open-source technologies. Our hosting environment uses the ubiqutious Apache web servers. The backend of the CMS is written in PERL using a PostgreSQL database and the user interface uses AJAX methodology.
